BIO

As a child I fell in love with a guitar that for reasons I’ll never understand was found buried in a closet. The sonic potential of the guitar through both conventional and absurd playing and recording techniques inspired an interest to explore more esoteric yet entirely valid methods of making music. Over time I discovered a wealth of sonic potential in nearly any physical object. Fascination and compulsion led to an intense drive to record, refine, and arrange.

From age 15, every free moment was invested learning the physics of sound, synthesis, production, and the myriad of elements associated with recording and sculpting sound. After high school I attended Kent State, Ohio State, and finally the Columbus College of Art and Design majoring in Time-Based Media. By age 20 my first 12″ vinyl record was released by the highly regarded German imprint Force Inc. In the following years a number of EP’s and Albums released on various labels provided the opportunity to perform frequently, travel the world, and dedicate my life to music.

In 2004, in my final year of college, Aeroc Sound Works was created to publish personal works. I signed with Ghostly International under my given name as well as the moniker Aeroc and to date we have released several records and two full-length albums. Currently my catalog is administered by the Ghostly publishing division and is available to license for TV/Film/Ads/Games/etc.
